Building Research Proposal

Two aspects in arranging your research are:

- Novelty (Kebaruan)

- Achievable (dapat dicapai/dikerjakan)

To enter Ph.D., we need a supervisor/professor/lecture  who are willing to our research

1. Determine research area (accounting, management, financial, corporate governance, taxation, or even cross-section of these areas, etc)

2. after getting the research area, enrich reading sources in all journals, books, or other scientific research, or discussion to your friends or others informal discussions.

3. remember about 2 aspects are novelty and achievable

4. Find Sources access such as Elsevier science direct, Wiley online Library, Emerald insight, Springer Link, ETC or find SSRN, Googe Scholar, Academia, 

5. Collecting all about a research topic, we formulated the final topic

6. Discover the literature gap and think about how our research can contribute to filling the gap mentioned, efforts to provide novelty can come from various aspects, for example, related to the variables we use, data, research methodology, or jurisdictional context, specification is needed.

7. Consider data and research methods, can we get the data? how methods data we use, is it possible to do it?

8. Start writing a proposal, 2.500 words (12 Page), A4 with 1,5 spacing, 12 font size

- the backgrounds, previous studies, relation previous studies with our research, research problems, how contributed to the academic literature, what issues in our research, the expected practical implications from this research, how the results of this study contribute to the regulation and supervision in the future (implementation development)

- literature review and hypothesis development. theoretical basis, previous empirical research, hypothesis formulation, support premise of my hypothesis

9. Research Design, what data I use, an analytical method that I will use, the method of measuring the variables

10. Timeline Research (6 Semesters)

11. References, in the bibliography
